A quiz is the one format that settles an argument. Everything else here is a conversation; these produce a score, and the score is the reason people play them twice.
They split into three kinds. Some test how well you know each other and keep a tally. Some sort you into a type — attachment style, love language, how you handle money. Some just ask you to rate the relationship honestly and then compare notes.
None of them are a real psychological instrument, and none of them pretend to be. They are structured excuses to say something you would not have said unprompted.
What are couples quizzes?
A couples quiz is a game where one partner answers and the other guesses, or where both answer separately and compare. Frequently asked questions
Which couples quiz should we start with?
How Well Do You Know Your Partner. It needs no setup, produces a score in about ten minutes, and the wrong answers are funnier than the right ones. Move to the Newlywed Game once you want a longer round.
Do we need two phones for a quiz?
Only for the ones where you answer privately before comparing — the compatibility and rating quizzes. Guess-and-score quizzes work fine on one phone passed back and forth.
Are the personality quizzes scientifically valid?
No, and they do not claim to be. Attachment style and love language are real frameworks, but a short quiz on a games site is a conversation starter, not an assessment.
What if the score is bad?
It usually means you have been together long enough to stop asking, not that something is wrong. The gap is more useful than the number — go back to the questions you both got wrong.
