How do you play Paranoia Questions?
Paranoia for couples works by one partner reading a question silently and asking the other to answer it blind. A coin flip then decides whether the question is revealed — heads they find out what they answered, tails they never do. The unresolved rounds are what makes the game memorable.
How to play
- One of you draws a card and reads it silently. Do not say it out loud.
- Ask your partner to answer. They answer blind, with no idea what was asked.
- Flip a coin. Heads: read the question out. Tails: they never find out.
- No negotiating the flip. That is the entire game.
- Swap and repeat.
Why couples love this game
The unresolved ones are what people remember. Answering a question you cannot see is uncomfortable enough; watching the coin come up tails and knowing you will never learn what you just said something about is the specific sensation this game exists to produce.
Paranoia is normally a party game: someone whispers a question, you answer out loud, and a coin flip decides whether the room learns what was asked. With two people the whisper does not work — but the coin flip does, and it is the good part.
