How do you play Rapid Fire Questions?
Rapid Fire Questions is a couples game where one partner reads questions and the other must answer within two seconds each, with no discussion between cards. After ten to twelve questions the roles swap. The speed limit produces honest answers because editing takes longer than telling the truth.
How to play
- One of you is the asker, the other answers.
- Read the card and get an answer within two seconds. No exceptions.
- Hit Next immediately. Do not discuss, do not follow up.
- Do ten to twelve, then swap roles.
- Once you have both had a turn, go back to the three answers that surprised you.
Why couples love this game
The pace makes it impossible to be careful, which is a genuinely rare thing in a relationship conversation. It also takes five minutes, so it works when nothing else fits — waiting for a table, sitting in a car, the last few minutes of a phone call.
Rapid Fire is the opposite of a deep question game. You get about two seconds per answer, which is not enough time to construct a good one — and that is exactly the point.
