How do you play Spicy Would You Rather?
Spicy Would You Rather gives couples two explicit options and both partners answer at the same time, then compare. Matching answers reveal shared preferences without either partner having to raise them unprompted. A 40-card deck runs 15 to 35 minutes and works over a call.
How to play
- Read both options.
- Both answer at the same time. Do not wait to see what your partner picks.
- Where you match, note it. Where you do not, ask one question.
- Keep moving — this deck works better fast than deliberate.
- Skip anything you would rather not answer.
Why couples love this game
It is the lowest-effort way into a conversation most couples find difficult. Choosing between two options is much easier than volunteering a preference from nothing, and by the end of the deck you have both stated twenty-two preferences without either of you having to raise a single one unprompted.
Would You Rather works because picking one option says something about you. The spicy version works for the same reason, except what it says is considerably more useful.
These are explicit and specific. Every pair is a real choice between two things people actually want, which means every answer is information — and the ones where you both pick the same option are worth noticing.
It is the easiest of the spicy games to start with, because answering is a single tap rather than a confession.
Example choices
- Would you rather be told exactly how to touch me — or decide everything yourself?
- Would you rather my mouth on you for as long as you want — or your mouth on me until I say stop?
- Would you rather you on top, setting the pace — or me taking you from behind?
- Would you rather lights on, watching each other — or lights off, only hands and breath?
- Would you rather be teased for an hour first — or clothes off and no patience?
- Would you rather morning sex, still half asleep — or the middle of the night, woken up for it?
The full game has 40 of these, shuffled every time you play.
Who this game is best for
- Couples who find the direct conversation hard
- Warming up before Spicy Questions
- Long-distance calls — nothing here is physical
- A private evening with time
Tips to make it better
- Answer simultaneously. Going second means answering the person, not the question.
- The matches are the useful part. Write nothing down, but notice them.
- One follow-up per card maximum. This is not the deck for long discussions.
- Pair it with Spicy Questions afterwards — this one warms up the conversation the other one needs.
Frequently asked questions
Why answer at the same time?
Because going second means you are responding to your partner rather than to the question. Simultaneous answers are the only ones worth comparing.
Is this easier than Spicy Questions?
Much. Picking between two options takes a tap; volunteering a preference from nothing takes nerve. Most couples find this the easier door into the same conversation.
Does it work long distance?
Yes — nothing here is physical. One person reads both options on a call and you both answer.
