How do you play Long Distance Bingo?
Long Distance Bingo is a card of 25 experiences specific to living apart — falling asleep on a call, getting the time difference wrong, airport goodbyes — which couples tick off together on a video or voice call, telling the story behind each one.
How to play
- Get on a call. One of you opens the card and reads the squares.
- Tick anything you have both experienced.
- Tell the story on each tick — that is where the time goes.
- Five in a row is a line.
- The last square is not really a bingo square. Answer it anyway.
Why couples love this game
Long distance is isolating mostly because the small parts of it are hard to explain to anyone who has not done it. Seeing twenty-five of those small parts written down, and finding you have both hit almost all of them, is a surprisingly good antidote to that.
