How to play

Why couples love this game

Long relationships shrink the vocabulary. Most couples years in have narrowed down to two or three kisses used in fixed situations, entirely by accident. A wheel that assigns one at random is a slightly silly but genuinely effective way of getting the rest back.

A wheel where every result is a kiss — where, how, how long. That is the entire game and it does not need to be anything else.

It exists because most long-term couples have exactly two kisses left in rotation: the goodbye one and the one before something else happens. This forcibly reintroduces about twenty others.

Ten minutes is plenty. It is a warm-up, not an evening.

Tips to make it better

• ✦Keep it short. This is a ten-minute game and does not improve at thirty.
• ✦The timed ones are the good ones. Actually time them.
• ✦Do not turn it into something else halfway through — or do, but that is a different game.
• ✦It needs you in the same room, obviously.
